Inside the Left Out

Inside the left out, there is much gloom,
covered up by a social costume.

To be fun and to give because that’s what we want,
only a piece of the puzzle as true feelings can haunt.

Driven by curiosity and a cryptic lie,
Just be yourself and let your inner self guide.

This leads in a direction to the unknown,
Those who follow it too far end up alone.

As skin can be burned from staying in the sun.
And water is polluted by a drop of poison,

Many things die in the midst of a drought,
Those who thrive are the ones we care about.

When life is a breeze and things fit in their place,
it is easy to see love, beauty and grace,

But those who suffer from being left out,
struggle to find an equal amount.

When someone is loved by people who care,
life seems so balanced and equally fair.

But take that away and leave one lonely heart,
wondering when life will come to an end or start.
